This gorgeous, late Art Deco mens timepiece is a very handsome specimen, dating to ca 1951 and featuring a dial set with 17 genuine diamonds. Oh yes, did you take a look at the beautifully sculpted 14kt Solid Yellow Gold case as well? Even when you ARE lucky enough to find a nice diamond dial Longines (or Hamilton) the cases are typically simple rectangular or round shapes this looks more like a Patek!

Triple-signed, this impressive timepiece measures 40mm end to end and 22mm in width. Powering this watch is a proven 9LT caliber, 17 Jewel Longines mechanism, one of the finest Swiss movements ever made I think, a proven winner. It has been fully serviced by my watchmaker David immediately prior to auction and it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time.

The silver enamel finished, diamond dial is in mint condition, professionally restored to its original status (dial is factory original but the enameled background has been refinished). As you can see, this is no ordinary dial for it has a total of 17 Genuine Diamonds used as hour markers three each at the 12, 3 and 9 markers and larger diamonds set in the other positions. The original hands are silver steel and there is a crosshair design sub-seconds dial with sweep original seconds hand. Signed LONGINES below the 12 (with trademark winged hourglass logo) and SWISS at the dial base.

The curved solid glass crystal is the original and in excellent overall shape. The rectangular form case is out of this world just look at it in profile and I think youll agree! It is crafted of 14 Karat Solid Yellow Gold and in excellent condition, truly superb. The winding crown is gold-finished and unsigned, in excellent shape and operating smoothly.

Turning the watch over I note that the back lid is also in excellent shape and is stamped 14K. Inside is a tried and true 9LT grade mechanism signed Longines Watch Co., Swiss [Caliber] 9LT - Seventeen 17 Jewels LXW. The serial number is 8,360,000 dating the watch to ca 1951 as per production records. The inside case lid is stamped Longines - Wittnauer Watch Co. Inc., New York, Geneva, Montreal K&L, 14K with case reference number #68295 below.

This beautiful Longines timepiece has been fully serviced to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time. It comes fitted with a new and high quality 16mm Swiss alligator calf strap with gold finished buckle ready to be worn and enjoyed.
